Where Ross-Ade Stadium is

Ross-Ade Stadium sits on the northern edge of Purdue University’s campus in West Lafayette. It is the home field for Purdue Football, at 850 Steven Beering Dr., West Lafayette, IN 47906.

The 2023 season marked the stadium’s 100th campaign as Purdue Football’s home. That season also began a renovation project, including a new south end zone stand and completion of the Tiller Tunnel. Its capacity after those renovations is 61,441.

The stadium is part of a larger university campus, so you can pair a game visit with time around Purdue. The Purdue University campus guide covers more places to see across campus.

What to check before game day

What to check before game day

Purdue Athletics’ official Football Ticket Information page is the place to check ticket availability and prices. It provides a “BUY TICKETS” option, but costs and availability can change.

Home-event tickets are digital-only, so plan to use a ticket on your mobile device for entry. Purdue’s standard football guidance says general-public gates open 90 minutes before kickoff. The Pavilion opens two hours before kickoff, while Ross-Ade Brigade members may enter through Gate B one hour and 45 minutes before kickoff.

Game-day parking and shuttles also depend on Purdue’s event guidance. Standard football parking lots open eight hours before kickoff, but not earlier than 8 a.m. ET.

For weekday games, lots open no earlier than noon ET, and some may open later because of campus operations. Campus lots require a visitor or daily parking pass; athletic-event parking details are provided as dates approach.

Complimentary game-day shuttles run on published north and south routes, starting at least three hours before kickoff and continuing until one hour after the game ends. Use Purdue Athletics’ current parking and shuttle map to confirm pickup locations and routes. For a more detailed look at lot choices, the Ross-Ade Stadium parking guide focuses on Purdue game-day parking.

Plan around entry and event-day rules

Plan around entry and event-day rules

Choose your entrance and pack carefully: Ross-Ade has gate restrictions, a clear-bag policy and a list of prohibited items.

Students with valid student tickets must enter through Gates A or B. General-admission fans may use any gate except A and B; Gate A is reserved for student and ADA tickets, while Gate B is reserved for student tickets. Accessible entry is available at Gates A, EE and GG, as well as the Pavilion.

The clear-bag policy allows one clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, one one-gallon clear plastic bag, and one small clutch no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Medical and diaper bags are exceptions, but they are inspected at entrances.

Prohibited items include weapons, outside alcohol, tobacco and e-cigarettes, umbrellas, strollers, backpacks, food and drinks, coolers, glass bottles, pets other than registered service animals, tripods and cameras with lenses longer than 6 inches. Ross-Ade is cashless, does not allow re-entry after you leave, and requires an event ticket for every guest, including children.

Before you go: Game-day policies, ticket details, parking and shuttle arrangements can change, so check the official site before you go. For stadium-specific updates, use Purdue Athletics’ official pages.
